September 25, 2016  -  FDA has now issued an Industry Guidance document clarifying enforcement discretion with respect to the use of the word Healthy on Conventional Food labels. This Guidance specifies criteria for use of Healthy for Conventional Foods that: (1) do not meet the criteria for labeling as low fat but still meet defined fat content profiles for mono and polyunsaturated fats; and (2) contain at least 10% of the DV (Daily Value) for the RACC (Reference Amount Customarily Consumed) of potassium and vitamin D.
